Our Canine Gallery Walk fundraiser was an overwhelming success!! To date we raised $700 withdonations continuing to come in.

Special thanks to Wild For Pets, Sallie Timm, Rite Aid manager Kim, Kathie Wantland, Shaun Myrick and all of the community of Granite Falls for being so supportive. We will be able to send many more packages to our soldiers.

We have been sending boxes of children's clothing to Afghanistan for our soldiers to distribute in the villages. They are very appreciative to all the warm clothing we have been able to send. So far we have sent, just this year, over 300 pounds of clothing.

Multiage Students present and dedicate the POW/MAI flag at the Granite Falls City Council Meeting Oct. 17, 2012

Flag flying proudly at Mountain Way Elementary

Heading out on our journey to deliver and dedicate POW/MIA flags to all the schools. Accompanied by our veteran supporters and family members. A good day!

We did it!! We delivered POW/MIA flags to the high school, middle school, Crossroads/Admin building, and Mountain Way Elementary!! The kids did a very respectful job dedicating and honoring the veterans. Special thanks to the parents and veterans who made this extra special.

On Monday, Oct. 15th the state and local VFW officials came in to do a formal presentation to Monte Cristo Elementary, students and staff, for their support of various veteran activities. The school received a special plaque to honor Mrs. Howell's award as the VFW National Teacher of the Year, and to give $1000 which will be placed in our Bob Donnolly account. The POW/MIA flags were purchased from this fund.

Wow, another fabulous turnout for our Multiage Potluck in the Park. By our counts we had just shy of 150 family members there. What a great evening together as a community.
